Abstract

A cleansing composition comprising the following components (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E):

(A) a C12-22 fatty acid or a salt thereof,(B) an anionic surfactant having a carboxylic acid or a salt thereof in a hydrophilic group, excluding the component (A),(C) a nonionic surfactant having a branched structure,(D) a polyhydric alcohol having an IOB value of 0.8 to 4, and(E) water;whereinthe total content of the component (A) and the component (B), (A)+(B), in terms of acid compounds (by mass) is from 35 to 60% by mass,the mass ratio of the content of the component (B) to the total content of the component (A) and the component (B), (B)/[(A)+(B)], is from 0.06 to 0.65,the content of the component (C) is from 1.5 to 20% by mass, andthe content of the component (D) is from 6 to 18% by mass.
