Abstract
A sheet conveying apparatus includes a first pair of rotating members; a second pair of rotating members which is provided in a downstream side of the first pair of rotating members in a conveying direction of a sheet; and a load portion which applies a load on a rotation of the first pair of rotating members to generate a tensile stress in the sheet; wherein the load portion includes, a slidably moving member arranged on both sides in an axial direction of a rotary member, a fixing member arranged to nip the slidably moving member on both sides in the axial direction of the rotary member from both outer sides in the axial direction, the fixing member being arranged to be movable in the axial direction and being rotation regulated, and a force applying portion which applies force on the fixing member in the axial direction of the rotary member.
