Abstract
The present invention provides a Portable information terminal provided with a method for recommending application software and/or a method for controlling screen display capable of granting ideal ease of use to a user. A screen for executing application software recommended by the portable information terminal and an icon correlated with application software arbitrarily selected by the user of the portable information terminal are displayed at the same time in separate areas on the same screen.
