Abstract
A system for wellbore operations can be adapted to generate an alarm signal upon ingress of a contaminant into a heavy weight lubrication oil of an equipment prior to operational failure of the equipment. In an embodiment, the system can include a sensor. In an embodiment, the sensor can be adapted to sense a viscosity of the heavy weight lubrication oil, a density of the heavy weight lubrication oil, a dielectric of the heavy weight lubrication oil, a temperature of the heavy weight lubrication oil, or a combination thereof.
