Abstract
A method for iterative decoding a data transfer structure comprising a plurality of code blocks includes: decoding a code block of the data transfer structure in a first iteration; determining a quantity indicative of a performance of the decoding of the code block; if the quantity indicates a decoding failure, decoding the code block again in subsequent iterations until a stopping criterion is reached, wherein the stopping criterion is based on a predetermined number of iterations per code block and a predetermined number of iterations per data transfer structure.
