Abstract

A bi-directional voltage converter with a current-sensing circuit includes a first sub-circuit including a high-voltage terminal, a first switching device, and a first primary winding of a first transformer; a second sub-circuit including a second switching device, a second primary winding of a second transformer, and ground; a low-voltage terminal connected, via an inductor, to a point between the first the second sub-circuits; a third switching device connected to a first secondary winding of the first transformer; a fourth switching device connected to a second secondary winding of the second transformer; and a control circuit configured to control the switching devices. The third and fourth switching devices are included in the current-sensing circuit and are connected to a current-sense terminal, and the current-sensing circuit generates a voltage waveform at the current-sense terminal representing a current flowing through at least one of the first and the second switching devices.
