Abstract

Various embodiments of a food slicer having a removable dual edged blade and blade insert holes that enable two distinctive slice thickness of a food item are provided. In one embodiment, a food slicer is provided, the food slicer comprising: a main body comprising a rear end portion, a front end portion, and a platform extending between the rear end portion and the front end portion; wherein the main body further comprises a first sidewall extending between the rear end portion and the front end portion and a second sidewall extending between the rear end portion and the front end portion; the first side wall including a first blade insert hole and the second sidewall including a second blade insert hole; and a blade comprising a locating lug disposed at a proximal end; wherein the blade extends through the first blade insert hole from a first side of the food slicer to provide a first cutting height and through the second blade insert hole from a second side of the food slicer to provide a second cutting height.
