One device includes one or more sensing components; a microcontroller unit; and a wireless module, the wireless module configured to selectively operate in an active mode and a low power sleep mode, wherein the microcontroller unit is configured to analyze signals from the one or more sensing components and to selectively place the wireless modules in the active or sleep mode depending on the analysis.
