Abstract

To provide a chair such that, when a person sits thereon, a force in the direction that widens the pelvis to the left and right does not act on the pelvis, and a function of sandwiching the pelvis from both the left and right sides is exerted naturally once a person sits on the chair, left and right pad members (20) are attached to an upper portion of a leg part (16), and pad surfaces (26) of the left and right pad members (20) that oppose each other face each other and are inclined so as to be closer to each other in a downward direction such that the pad surfaces come into contact with portions of a person in a sitting posture that correspond to left and right sides of the pelvis of the person, and wherein the left and right pad members (20) support an upper limb weight of a person in a sitting posture without supporting the pair of ischia from below.
