Abstract

A chemical heat storage device according to one embodiment is a chemical heat storage device to heat a heating target disposed inside an exhaust pipe connected to an engine, the chemical heat storage device comprising a reactor disposed around the exhaust pipe and including a heat storage material which chemically reacts with a reaction medium to generate heat and a high heat conducting member having a thermal conductivity higher than that of the heat storage material, a storage which stores the reaction medium, and a connection pipe which connects the reactor to the storage to transfer the reaction medium between the reactor and the storage, wherein the high heat conducting member extends from a side of an outer peripheral surface of the reactor to a side of an inner circumferential surface of the reactor in contact with the exhaust pipe.
