Abstract
According to some embodiments, a light source assembly includes an at least partially transparent or translucent housing; a base plate disposed within the housing, the base plate supporting a plurality of annularly arranged light-emitting units; and a reflector, coupled to the base plate, the reflector having a substantially-annular discontinuous surface, wherein an exterior surface of the reflector is operative to reflect light emitted from the light-emitting units.
