Embodiments are disclosed for an example inter-vehicle communications system. The example inter-vehicle communications system includes a plurality of vehicles, each of the vehicles equipped with: a transceiver capable of sending and receiving wireless signals, a display screen, a processor, and a storage device storing instructions executable by the processor to in a first mode, generate and transmit an alert via the transceiver in response to detecting an alert condition, and in a second mode, display a received alert to a vehicle user via the display screen in response to receiving the received alert via the transceiver.
