Abstract

A poppet valve arrangement is described such as can be used in a pipe terminal and/or flow coupler, said arrangement comprising: a poppet valve comprising a biasing device; and a housing comprising an inlet, an outlet and a flow channel configured to provide fluid communication between said inlet and said outlet when said poppet valve is open; wherein: said fluid communication provided by said flow channel is blocked by the poppet valve under action of said biasing device when the poppet valve is closed; and the poppet valve is supported with respect to the housing by a channel splitter that radially sections the flow channel into a sectioned substantially annular flow channel portion around the poppet valve.
