Abstract
An apparatus and a method for decoding an image are disclosed. More specifically, the apparatus for decoding an image, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises an adaptive inverse-quantization unit for performing inverse-quantization on a block to be decoded, by using scaling list information set with respect to one region including the block to be decoded within an image among the scaling list information which is separately set in each partitioned region of the image.
