Abstract
This application relates to an apparatus and a method for creating an image of the area around a vehicle. The apparatus for creating an image of the area around a vehicle creates an aerial-view image by converting an image of an area around a vehicle; creates a movement-area aerial-view image that is an aerial view of a movement area of the vehicle; creates a combined aerial-view image by combining a subsequent aerial-view image, which is a current image created after the previous aerial-view image is created, with the movement-area aerial-view image that is a past image; and creates a corrected combined aerial-view image by correcting an image to differentiate the subsequent aerial-view image that is the current image and the movement-area aerial-view image.
