Abstract
Rigid polyurethane foams are made by reacting an organic polyisocyanate with an isocyanate-reactive composition which includes a polyol, a blowing agent blend of hydrofluorocarbons, a urethane-forming catalyst, a polyether-modified polysiloxane, and water. The blowing agent blend includes a C4 polyfluorohydrocarbon and a C3 polyfluorohydrocarbon. The rigid polyurethane foams exhibit improved adhesion to facer substrates and excellent thermal conductivity, compressive strength, and dimensional stability.
