The SIP packet includes a request for a language interpretation/translation resource and a SIP header that stores identification data pertaining to the request. Further, the computer implemented language interpretation/translation platform includes a processor that selects the language interpretation/translation resource based on the identification data and routes the request to the selected language interpretation/translation resource.
