Abstract

A semiconductor device for power supply control includes an on/off control signal generation circuit which generates a control signal for turning on or off a switching element, a high-voltage input start terminal, a power supply terminal, a switching unit, a power supply voltage control circuit which monitors voltage of the power supply terminal and turns on the switching unit when the voltage is at most a first voltage value that is predetermined, and turns off the switching unit when the voltage of the power supply terminal has reached a second voltage value higher than the first voltage value, a state control circuit which turns on or off the switching unit so that the voltage of the power supply terminal is in a narrower range than a voltage range from the first voltage value to the second voltage value, and an auxiliary winding wire short-circuiting detection circuit.
