Abstract
The present invention relates to an electrode material for a sodium-ion battery, in particular, the present invention relates to an electrode material suitable for use as an anode of a sodium-ion battery wherein the electrode material comprises sodium titanate. In an aspect of the present invention, the electrode material comprises a sodium titanate having the formula Na3+xTi3O7, wherein the value of x is defined as −0.5≦x≦0.3, wherein said material is an intermediate phase between Na2Ti3O7 and Na3+xTi3O7.
