Abstract
The invention relates to a mounting device for a flat seal (3) of a flange connection, wherein the flange connection comprises a first flange (4), a second flange (8) and a flat seal arranged between the flanges, wherein the mounting device has at least one clamping jaw (13) for the intermediate space between the two flanges, which clamping jaw is tapered at the end to a nose (9) for holding the flat seal. An assembly method for the flange connection is disclosed.
