Apparatus (1) for additively manufacturing three-dimensional objects (2) by means of successive layerwise selective irradiation and consolidation of layers of a build material (4) which can be consolidated by means of an energy beam (9), which apparatus (1) comprises an irradiation device (6) adapted to generate the energy beam (9), wherein the irradiation device (6) comprises a beam guiding unit (8) that is adapted to guide the energy beam (9) in a build plane (5) in which build material (4) is applied, wherein the irradiation device (6) is adapted to generate at least one segmented track (11) comprising at least two first track segments (12) in which build material (4) is to be irradiated with the energy beam (9).
