A cooling assembly for a gas turbine engine may include a heat source, a heat sink, and a heat pump coupled to the heat source and the heat sink, wherein the heat pump may be configured to convey a quantity of heat from the heat source to the heat sink. The heat pump may be mounted to an inner surface of an inner fan casing, and the heat sink may be mounted to an outer surface of the inner fan casing such that heat may convey from the heat sink to a bypass air stream passing over the inner fan casing through or past the heat sink.
