The invention relates to a stretcher intended for transporting patients, comprising a frame including poles, the ends of which act as carrying handles, said frame being equipped with at least one attachment system making it possible to attach at least one piece of equipment for providing assistance to a patient being transported, as well as a series of trays constituting a lying surface which can be articulated according to the desired positions for the patient, said articulated trays being attached via articulation systems to the frame, said trays being provided with a system for holding the patient.
