In examples, a panel of the panel assembly reflects, reflects, absorbs, diffuses, gathers, and/or accepts light from a light source integrated or coupled to the panel. In further examples, the panel redirects light from a light source (e.g., a light source integrated or coupled to the sides and/or top of the panel) such that the light shines outwardly from the front of the traffic sign assembly and/or away from the rear of the traffic sign.
