Abstract
A fairing system configured to be attached to an arm of a vertical axis wind turbine is disclosed. The fairing system may include a first fairing portion and a second fairing portion. The first fairing portion may have a semi-elliptical cross section and the second fairing portion may have a V-shaped cross section. The first fairing portion may include a first elongated edge and a second elongated edge, and the second fairing portion may include a third elongated edge and a fourth elongated edge. The first elongated edge may be configured to be connected to the third elongated edge and the second elongated edge may be configured to be connected to the fourth elongated edge to form an aerodynamic structure.
