Abstract
The invention relates to a process and to a plant for preparation of olefins from oxygenates (OTO), where it is simultaneously also the intention to optimize the yield of the BTX aromatics benzene, toluene and the isomeric xylenes. According to the invention, for this purpose, the gasoline fraction obtained in the OTO process according to the prior art is added to an aromatization reactor. Multistage separation of the product stream from the aromatization reactor affords a product stream containing BTX aromatics and a gasoline fraction that has been depleted of olefins, cycloalkanes and cycloalkenes.
