Abstract

An air conditioner includes: an outdoor unit including a first heat exchanger including a first heat transfer tube made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy and first fins made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy; and an indoor unit including a second heat exchanger including a second heat transfer tube made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy and second fins made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. The first heat transfer tube includes a first sacrificial layer on a surface of the first heat transfer tube. The first sacrificial layer is: lower in potential than a base material of the first heat transfer tube, and higher in potential than the first fins. The first fins contain zinc. A ratio of zinc content in the first fins is higher than a ratio of zinc content in the second fins.
