Abstract
A gas tap with a safety valve for a gas cooking appliance. According to one aspect the gas tap includes a body with an inlet conduit, a gas outlet conduit, and a housing. A regulating disc having a regulation opening is arranged in the housing of the body. An actuator element is housed in the body and is configured to open the safety valve by means of its rotation. A gear is coupled to an output shaft of a motor and is configured to transmit the movement of the motor to the regulating disc. The actuator element is a wheel comprising a plurality of teeth, the actuator element being part of the gear.
