Abstract
A method and system for removably attaching headwear to a hood associated with an article of clothing separate and distinct from the headwear. The method provides for joining a first set of complementary fasteners to a headwear brim of the headwear and joining a second set of complementary fasteners to a hood brim of the hood, whereby when the hood is drawn over a head of a wearer wearing the headwear the first and second sets of complementary fasteners align so as to form an engagement sufficient to prevent separation of the headwear and the hood under gusts of wind in excess of twenty miles per hour.
