Abstract

An apparatus includes a carriage, and a first member and a second member coupled to the carriage. The first and second member each have rollers positioned to freely roll along a support and move the carriage. A first set of rollers are positioned in a horizontal plane and a second set of rollers are positioned in a vertical plane. A bracket is coupled to the carriage and configured to hold a cutting tool. The bracket is configured to move along an X-axis and a Y-axis. A plurality of actuators is configured to move the bracket along the X-axis and the Y-axis. Each sensor of a plurality of sensors is configured to generate signals comprising the position of the apparatus. A controller is configured to receive the signals from the sensors and data. The controller executes instructions for controlling movement of the bracket based on the signals and the data.
