Abstract

The current disclosure relates to a device for separating and/or purifying a compound of interest comprising

a sample plate, said sample plate comprising a base portion and one or more sample holders provided on said base portion for receiving a sample container, said sample container is suitable to hold a sample comprising a liquid holding said compound of interest and magnetic particles;a magnet unit positioned at each sample holder, said magnet unit is configured to capture or to introduce a movement of the magnetic particles;wherein the sample holders are configured to perform a mechanical motion, such that the magnetic particles are mixed with the liquid. Methods for separating and/or purifying a compound of interest are equally disclosed.
