Abstract
The invention relates to a process for alkali-dry treating cellulosic fibre goods comprising the steps of (a) treating the goods with an aqueous caustic soda solution of 18.degree.-26.degree. Baume, followed by (b) drying the treated goods under tension without an intermediate rinsing or neutralization step. The aqueous caustic soda solution used in step (a) may further contain a lubricant and wetting agents.
