Abstract
There is provided a silicone composition for rendering surfaces stain resistant and water repellent comprising: (a) an organopolysiloxane resin selected from the group consisting of resins having R.sub.3 SiO.sub.0.5 units and SiO.sub.2 units, the ratio of R.sub.3 SiO.sub.0.5 units to SiO.sub.2 units, ranging from about 0.2 to about 0.9:1 and resins having R.sub.3 SiO.sub.0.5 units, R.sub.2 SiO units, and SiO.sub.2 units, the ratio of R.sub.3 SiO.sub.0.5 units to SiO.sub.2 ranging from about 0.2 to about 0.9:1 and the ratio of R.sub.2 SiO units to SiO.sub.2 units being up to about 0.1:1 where each R is independently selected from substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon radical of from 1 to 8 carbon atoms; (b) alkyl-alkoxypolysiloxane resin; and (c) an effective amount of condensation catalyst.
