Abstract
Novel triorganostannyl derivatives of deoxynucleosides or deoxynucleotides of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is an alkyl or aryl group, R.sup.2 is a protecting group, R.sup.3 is a protecting group, B is a base residue which may have a protecting group, and n is zero or a positive integer and their amine salts are provided. They are prepared by reacting a deoxynucleoside or deoxynucleotide with either a triorganotin amide or a triorgano(alkoxy)stannane and may be useful as intermediates for the preparation of oligodeoxynecleotides.
