Compounds of the formula I ##STR1## wherein rings A and B are each unsubstituted or substituted; Y is oxygen, sulfur, sulfinyl or sulfonyl; one of the symbols Z.sub.1 and Z.sub.2 is halogen and the other formyl; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts of such compounds that contain a salt-forming group are useful for the treatment of diseases of the respiratory tract and of liver diseases.
