Abstract

A system for distributed control of a plurality of processors (UC1-UCa, UCP1-UCPb, MQ1-MQc) forming a set of processors (e.g., in a telephone exchange). Each processor is provided with a respective link coupler coupling it to a semaphore type serial link for point-to-point communication between processors. The control system comprises a network and a network distributor (DR1, DR2). The network comprises at least one clock link (H) for synchronizing data transfers, together with the following individual links between the network distributor and each of the processors in the set: a send request link; a send authorization link; a link for sending data to the distributor; and a link for receiving data from the distributor. The distributor detects a processor request-to-send signal on any of the send request links, for handling access to the network as a function of the request-to-send signals, and for authorizing a selected processor to send data to the distributor, and a decoupling circuit for receiving data sent to the distributor and for relaying the received data to all of the links for receiving data from the distributor, whereby the selected one of the processors is enabled to broadcast data to all of the processors in the set.
