Abstract
A rotary blow molding machine includes a plurality of mold stations on a rotary carousel. Each mold station includes an elongated support body, such as multiple tie rods, with a first of the mold sections relatively movably disposed on the support body and a second of the mold sections affixed on the support body for movement therewith. An actuator is connected between the first mold section and the support body to move the support body and the second mold section. A synchronizer linkage is connected between the first mold section and the support body to effect concurrent movement of the first mold section in an opposite direction and equal amount to movement of the second mold section.
