Abstract

The invention relates to compounds of the formula: ##STR1## in which: Ar represents a phenyl group substituted by R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, or a naphth-1-yl or naphth-2-yl group, unsubstituted or substituted by 1 or 2 halogen atoms; X represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; R.sub.1 represents H or a halogen atom; R.sub.2 represents a halogen atom, a trifluoromethyl group, a phenyl group which is unsubstituted by 1 or 3 halogen atoms, a benzyl group which is unsubstituted or substituted by 1 to 3 halogen atoms, a phenoxy group which is unsubstituted or substituted by 1 to 3 halogen atoms, or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group; R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 represents H, a halogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group; and the benzyl group substitutes the piperidino radical in the 2-, 3- or 4-position, and their salts with mineral or organic acids. It also relates to a process for the preparation of said compounds and their use as antimicrobial agents, as antiseptic, disinfectant, preservative in different kinds of products (pharmaceutical compositions, cosmetics, agri-foodstuffs). It also relates to said products containing the compounds of formula (I).
