Abstract
The reaction product of H.sub.2 O.sub.2 and metallic titanium, a titanium peroxy radical gel, exhibits oxidizing and anti-inflammatory effects and is used, for instance, as a biocompatible oxidant, an anti-inflammatory agent or in vitro coating of an implant body. The gel-like product is produced by treating metallic titanium with H.sub.2 O.sub.2.
