Abstract
An improved composite plastic panel is disclosed, including a base layer comprising a thermoplastic or thermoset resin, which may be reinforced, and a protective surface layer comprising a polyurethane polymer having a glass transition temperature of at least 80.degree. C. The protective layer forms a strong polar bond with the base layer. Thus, the composite plastic panel displays high water and weather resistance and has an increased useful lifespan.
