Abstract

This monitoring invention is an improvement over the ozone (O.sub.3) and hydrogen peroxide (H.sub.2 O.sub.2) monitoring systems that are now commercially used. The manner in which this monitor measures the gas, or a gas dissolved in a liquid, is by measuring the heat energy that is released when the material to be measured is catalyzed. The detector measures the heat produced when, for example, ozone is reduced to oxygen or the hydrogen peroxide is reduced to oxygen and water by a catalytic action. This heat energy is collected and measured. The higher the temperature, the higher the concentration.
