A process for producing a granular vinyl chloride resin from a vinyl chloride resin latex prepared by emulsion polymerization or fine suspension polymerization, which comprises: (A) a step of flocculating the vinyl chloride resin latex, (B) a step of dehydrating the flocculated vinyl chloride resin to a water content of at most 50% by weight by means of a filter press dehydrator, a belt press dehydrator or a tube press dehydrator, and (C) a step of drying the dehydrated vinyl chloride resin at a temperature of lower than 80.degree. C.
