Abstract
An optical information recording medium is composed of a substrate and a recording layer which includes a diarylpolyene compound of formula (I): ##STR1## wherein A.sup.1 and A.sup.2 each independently represent an aryl group which may have a substituent; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represent hydrogen, a halogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and n is an integer of 2 or more.
