Abstract

Cement based finishing compositions are disclosed in which use of portland cement as a binder is significantly reduced without adversely affecting bonding or adhesion and while enhancing coverage of surface area, workability and hiding power or opaqueness. The composition, when mixed with an appropriate amount of water can be applied in a single coating over a primed surface on a masonry, concrete, sand rendering, brick work, cement blocks and the like to give a finished, homogenous surface. In another embodiment a floor and wall topper composition is disclosed which, when mixed with water at lower than conventional proportions, provides a rock-hard, either jointless or compartmented sections having improved compressive and flexural strength and resistance to wear and tear.
