Abstract
A filter cloth having a needle felt layer laminated to a nonwoven fabric sheet made of ultrafine fibers. The fibers of the nonwoven fabric sheet have a fineness of 0.2 denier or less and the fabric sheet is formed by the melt blow method. The needle felt layer preferably has a weight of from 150 g/m.sup.2 to 900 g/m.sup.2, a longitudinal tensile strength of at least 20 kg/5 cm, a transverse tensile strength of at least 20 kg/5 cm and a bursting strength of at least 10 kg/cm.sup.2.
