Abstract
A device and method are shown for assessing a fluid sample. The device includes a fluid receptor for receiving a sample of a fluid from an external source and a closed chamber for receiving fluid from the receptor through a fluid flow connection. Part of a wall of the chamber is provided by a member which carries a reagent which responds to a component of the fluid sample, whereby an indication of the response can be detected from the exterior of the chamber.
