Abstract
A pallet assembly made of a web of corrugated paperboard and providing a flat deck, a pair of parallel stringers for supporting the pallet on the ground, and flaps associated with the stringer sidewalls and folded to project interiorly of the stringer to strengthen the pallet and form openings for receiving the horizontal support bars of a forklift truck. The pallet assembly may have one or more additional stringers provided thereon. Additional flaps can also be provided to achieve additional strengthening effects. The stringer can be constructed as a separate element for attachment to a suitable deck or box to create a pallet-like construction.
