Abstract
In a unit for the production of oxygen by separation of air by adsorption with regeneration of the adsorbers (1-5) under vacuum, the sub-atmospheric depressurization is ensured with rejection to the atmosphere by pumping with two successive pumping devices: one, for example of the type of a volumetric compressor (13), operates to a pressure of the order of 0.5.times.10.sup.5 Pa absolute, while the other, for example of the type of a centrifugal compressor (14), operates alone to a pressure of the order of 0.2.times.10.sup.5 Pa absolute.
