Abstract
A rigid single- or multilayer non-oriented or mono- or biaxially oriented film in which at least one layer comprises a cycloolefin copolymer, wherein the cycloolefin copolymer has an intrinsic E modulus (E.sub.i) which has the following dependence on the glass transition temperature T.sub.g : E.sub.i =(0.0025[GPa/.degree.C.].times.T.sub.g [.degree.C.])+B[GPa] where B=2.93-3.19 and T.sub.g is the glass transition temperature.
