Abstract
Disclosed herein is a color filter comprising a base equipped with light-transmitting areas, and an ink-receiving layer provided on the base and equipped with colored light-transmitting areas on the light-transmitting areas of the base, wherein the ink-receiving layer comprises a homopolymer of a monomer having a structural unit represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 denotes hydrogen or a methyl group, and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are, independently of each other, hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, or its copolymer with one or more other vinyl monomers.
